Learning partner

We act as a learning partner with CEOs and senior leaders in public sector and social purpose organisations, who seek more sustainable and viable ways to create positive social change in complex operating environments. We help you get clear on the problem situation you are working on, using systemic understandings, methodologies and tools. We supports the development of collective and embodied wisdom which form a new ground from which to design and take effective action. We do this in several ways:

  • Co-convening large scale social change projects: We support you to design and co-convene learning processes that operate across multiple levels in complex social contexts where there are many unknowns and uncertainities.

  • Bespoke training: We design and deliver training on systems tools and practices that can support you to lead internal systemic action inquiries in your own organisation, or research project that support redesign in psychologically safe ways from the inside out.

  • Systemic coaching: Individual and small group coaching supports practice and skill development to sensemake and learn in real time. Reflective practice with a critical learning partner can help embed desired change and make it possible.

  • Systemic evaluation: We work alongside you as you manage and learn throughout a project and support ongoing monitoring and evaluation at critical decision points, based on systems theory and systemic evaluation practices.

Some organisations we have worked with

Looking through my journal notes sessions with Joan I’ve described the sessions as powerful, insight-creating, quirky, non-linear, leading to shifts from my familiar heady alertness to an embodied presence that is spacious, creative and feels both grounded and dispersed at the same time. I love it! Social presenting may be gentle but yet leads to subtle and significant internal shifts without efforting. How magic is that? Joans’ skilful facilitation enables me to go deep, trust myself, others and our creative ecology together even more – precisely because she is so present and embodied herself.
